Yes. Zephyr connects to standard vacuum suction tubing through the 360° connector on its flexible tube, so it works with the portable or wall-mounted suction unit your clinic already uses. There is no new machine to buy.
Is Zephyr a machine or a consumable?
Zephyr is a single-use sucker, not a suction machine. It replaces the Zoellner-style sucker on the end of your existing suction line. The noise a patient hears is generated at the sucker tip inside the ear canal rather than at the pump, so changing the sucker is what changes the noise.
Is Zephyr single-use?
Yes. The Zephyr sucker and its flexible tube are supplied sterile in single-use packs and are disposed of through the normal clinical waste route after each patient. There is no reprocessing or autoclaving.
Can I use Zephyr with wall-mounted suction?
Yes. Wall-mounted systems move the pump out of the room, but they do not reduce the noise generated at the sucker tip, which is the noise the patient is exposed to. Zephyr addresses that part of the system, so it brings a measured noise reduction to piped suction as well as to portable units.
How much does Zephyr cost?
